Hottest Looks From Miami Fashion Week 2014
It’s the most glamorous Fashion Week around, yes guys and girls Miami Fashion Week descended on the sunny shores of South East America this week and boy was it HOT.. and I’m not talking about the weather!
There were tons of shows and some even poolside! And get this, the guests themselves were lounging around with ofcourse their cameraphones snapping the runway looks in one hand and a skinny mojito in the other. There so many gorgeous pieces, my shopping list is over flowing!
Check out my picks of the best collections at MFW! And yes girls, we may want to hit the gym after this..
Israeli brand Gottex is one of Tel Aviv’s most noted fashion exports. Its massive all over the world, it’s easier to get hold of than some of the other swimwear brands (all our high end department stores stock it). This collection was full of sexy monochrome looks mixed with gorgeous colour popping tropical designs. And those kaftans? I want!
I wasn’t familiar with Indah till Miami Fashion Week, but the colours and fabrics grabbed me. (Basically, I’m obsessed with orange now). And omg, how teeny, weeny are the bikinis? The items are all made in Bali and they’ll ship their pieces all over the world from their Hollywood HQ. Shop here.
Prints, prints and more prints! How fabulous are these designs?! Everything from french influenced prints to tribal chic, Nanette had it all! This swimwear collection is totally dreamy, I want to take these prints home and cuddle them. Shop swimwear (and all other Nannete goodies!) here.
Beautiful in white! I’m obsessed with the stunning looks from Paola Robba’s label Poko Pano – it was a good job she stopped making dresses for her dolls and started making bikinis for us girls! Beyonce and Mischa Barton counted amongst fans – you can see why people persist! This collection was sleek and simple yet very effective, I loved the stripes and pops of colour, super fresh for Summer 14!
No, Susan Boyle hasn’t taken to swimwear design (thank god), SuBoo is the Aussie brand from uber talented Sue Di Chio. The aim with her swimwear is to bring high fashion to the every day, and she does it brilliantly. I love the bright colours mixed with the sleek and sexy designs from this collection! You can’t get hold of it easily in the UK, but the Suboo website does ship here from Australia.
This collection struck me as the most young/Euro/fashtrash, lots of bold, bright colours and lyrca! I know a LOT of girls who would rock this stuff on either the beach or a nightclub table. The Beach Riot mantra is “riot on the beach, party in the streets” and label founder Nicole Hanriot has mastered the making of the perfect bikini. She’s a Newport Beach girl who started out in the action sports world (perhaps that’s why these were the fiercest 90s style aerobics pin-up models that we saw across all of Miami Fashion Week?). Urban Outfitters stock a very small amount of Beach Riot in the UK (the good news? It’s now on sale) but the Beach Riot website is a much better bet for the full collections.
